We need help, could YOU be a volunteer?

ASKING FOR VOLUNTEERS!

The only requirements are: a Facebook account as a private FB group is used for all the group communications, and a knowledge of copy and paste techniques within Blogger is needed for creating the weekly posts, along with access to a computer with internet access.

Each day of the week is assigned to one volunteer to maintain. Usually, the same volunteer updates the same list regularly ( so the Monday person maintains the Monday list, the Tuesday person the Tuesday list and so on). There are usually extra volunteers available to help out in the case of sickness, holiday and the like.

 
Some of these lists take as little as half an hour and some take a little longer. Once you become proficient with your list, you will find it takes less time to complete. The lists are fun to update and it's a great way to keep in touch with the challenges going on around the World. We're a friendly and helpful group and we enjoy "giving back" to the crafting community by providing this list.

Ideally, we'd like to recruit several people to our team with each taking their own list.

The Challenges For Days Team

We could uses another person on our backup team, could it be you?

The only requirements are that you must be familiar with blogger.com and you must be on Facebook 😊 

There are a core group of us who regularly maintain these lists.  We also have a few floaters for if and when they are needed.  If one of us is taken ill or cannot for any other reason update their list(s), we either have a sign up sheet if it is known ahead of time, or one of us will fill in if there is an emergency.  We would also like to add some more content if we get enough people.

Some of these lists only take about half an hour to update, others a little longer, but they are fun to do as well as a great way to keep in touch with the challenges going on around the world. We are a very friendly group of people and would welcome others onto the team. Ideally, we would like to recruit 3 more people who could each take a list updating it each week.

If more people volunteer they will be welcome and perhaps we can start to expand the site and share the news about other things.

All that is required is that you have a computer with internet access and if you are reading this, you do.  Can you spare perhaps half an hour a week to visit the sites listed and update the challenge details?  This is a blogger site very easy to use. We have a 'private' Facebook group where we share about challenges as well as our crafty (and other) news.

Exciting Changes at Challenges for Days!

Hi everyone, it's Christi here to share some Challenges For Days news ~

As long time readers of our little blog already know, at the beginning of the year Zoe, our founder, had decided to leave us to pursue her other interests.  While it was very sad to see her leave, I am excited for her and thank her for all the help she has given me, and us, in the past years.  Zoe literally taught me everything I know about blogging - I didn't even have a personal blog when I decided to volunteer for Challenges for Days.  It's hard to believe we have been around since July of 2013!!

Honestly, when I looked up how long we have been around I was shocked to see it's been over three years.  I had no idea!  I've been here since the inception of the blog and I am thrilled to say that I have volunteered to take over the day to day running of the blog.  While it's exciting, running this blog would be absolutely impossible without the crew: April, Bev, NanaConnie, Jane, Carol, Samantha and Kathy.  These women are amazing and there is absolutely no way Challenges for Days would even exist without them.

So we are unveiling a new blog look - a new header and some new badges.  We'd love it if you'd support us by posting one of the badges to your personal blog as well as on any challenges you run.

We have also decided to have a dedicated email solely for the dealings of Challenges For Days - so please make a note that, in addition to leaving us a comment, you can email us info on any new challenges, any changes to existing challenges, or if you'd like to lend us a hand. We can be reached at ChallengesForDays@yahoo.com.

We do need more volunteers.  We are very flexible in accommodating people's schedules; we have volunteers from all different time zones and every one of us is more than willing to share our tricks and tips on how to manage a list.  So, if you have an hour or so a week and know how to blog, please take a look at the "Join Our Happy Band" page.
